Sa'Olethea - Krema Papua

Sa Olethea stands with a philosophy embodied in its name. 'Sa' represents 'I' in the distinctive Papuan dialect, and 'Olethea' means 'a gift from God' in Greek. Sa Olethea consistently produces crafts and making innovation by combining noken as a traditional craft with a modern touch as a form of cultural preservation. Since 2020, Sa Olethea has been consistently engaged in developing modern bag designs that incorporate traditional Papuan bags (noken), which are directly handmade by Papuan women (Mama Papua). Sa Olethea aims to empower Papuan women who possess weaving skills in creating noken, hoping to enhance their abilities and serve as a bridge to the evolving modern innovations.
